Essential Oils

“Essential oils are natural aromatic compounds found in the seeds, bark, stems, roots, flowers, and other parts of plants. They can be both beautifully and powerfully fragrant. If you have ever enjoyed the gift of a rose, a walk by a field of lavender, or the smell of fresh cut mint, you have experienced the aromatic qualities of essential oils. In addition to giving plants their distinctive smells, essential oils provide plants with protection against predators and disease and play a role in plant pollination.” (dōTERRA)  For more information please go to www.mydoterra.com/sunshineking

Reiki

The Japanese word Reiki can be translated to “life-force energy.” The method was invented in Japan by Mikao Usui whom developed the technique around 1915. The term refers to a form of spiritual healing that involves holding the hands above the body. There are many people who have taken training in Reiki, and the service is provided in a variety of settings traditional Asian healing methods.

Iridology

Iridology is the study of the iris. Every single organ is connected to the iris through the nervous system. The nerve fibers receive their impulses by the optic nerve, optic thalami and spinal cord. People say that the “Eyes are the windows to your soul” Iridologist say that “Eyes are the windows to your health”.

Iridology Analysis

When one has an area in their body that is unbalanced the nerve endings pull back in that area leaving the markings on the iris. The Iridologist will then study the area (by taking a photo of the eye or looking into the eye with a special magnifying glass) to see which part of the body's health needs improvement. This technique assists in starting a customized health plan using healthy and natural methods.

Hot Stones

The hot stones are usually made of basalt, a type of rock that is rich in iron, so they retain heat. River rocks are normally used because they are smooth over time by the river current. The stones are submerged in water and heated in an electric heater until they are within a certain temperature range. The heat of the stones will give warmth and relaxation to the muscles.

This technique allows the therapist to apply deeper pressure, if preferred by client. The warmth from the hot stones improves circulation which calms the nervous system. The therapist may place small hot stones between your toes or in the palm of your hand. However, this may vary depending on the client's condition.
